Distinctive features: Shrub; Leaves are prominently toothed and lack stipules.

Similar species:
  •   Downy Arrowwood (Viburnum rafinesquianum) - more widespread, has prominent stipules.


Flowers: Spring, Summer;  White;  5 parts (petals)

Leaves: Opposite/Whorled, Simple, Toothed;  Opposite, prominently toothed.

Habitat: Forests, Fields and Open Areas, Wet Areas;  Wet places.

Native/Non-native: Native

Status: Not as common as Downy Arrowwood (Viburnum rafinesquianum) - mostly just in extreme southern Ontario.

Notes: Easily confused with Downy Arrowwood (Viburnum rafinesquianum), which is much more common and widespread.
